ABOUT ME

Philippians 4:13

The prevalence of depression, anxiety, and PTSD is alarmingly high among those serving in public safety, healthcare, and collegiate settings. Whether responding to emergencies, caring for patients, or navigating high-pressure academic environments, these individuals face immense spiritual, physical, and emotional challenges. As a licensed registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, board certification as a Transformative Nurse Coach, and advanced training in functional medicine, holistic nursing, and nutrition, I use an integrated, root-cause approach to help restore wellness and resilience.

At Shade Tree Health & Wellness, I serve the foundational pillars of our communities—first responders, healthcare professionals, and students—with personalized coaching, practical lifestyle strategies, and whole-person care. My mission is to walk alongside each client, empowering them to regain balance, prevent burnout, and live with renewed clarity and purpose.

If unaddressed, these stressors impact spiritual, physical, and mental health, potentially leading to chronic diseases that affect personal and professional life. My experience as a firefighter-paramedic deepened my understanding of how my relationship with Jesus Christ became my foundation for serving my community. My healthcare career taught me how to serve with a non-biased approach. This identity, rooted in faith rather than career, gave me purpose—serving others and fostering hope.

I aim to partner with clients to assess their lifestyles, address health concerns, and develop personalized coping skills rooted in a client-centered vision of health. I commit to listening actively, using motivational interviewing, and setting S.M.A.R.T. goals to facilitate sustainable change.
